INTRODUCTION: no. 077 [the end. (an introduction to destruction)...]

"The End./Dead!" by My Chemical Romance

THE EULOGY:

Now come one come all to this tragic affair
Wipe off that makeup, what's in is despair
So throw on the black dress, mix in with the lot
You might wake up and notice you're someone you're not

If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see

You can find out firsthand what it's like to be me
So gather 'round piggies and kiss this goodbye
I'd encourage your smiles, I'll expect you won't cry

We are gathered here to pay respects to what was and will never be again. The past is the past is the past is the past. Nothing more, nothing less. The lessons learned will help us propel to what is next, but dwell not too much, but most importantly do not forget.

Here lies a broken shell of a man. Broken-hearted, beaten, battered, bruised; alliteration at it's finest contempt. The cycle has done it's damage, and now we mourn.

Time wasted, tick-tocking away a diminished existence. But it's never too late. We mourn not for the death, but for the time gone, the time he will never get back. But to dwell on the sorrow is a fate worse than death, for he begins his new life as we speak.

Let his life not be in vain, for what is a life if you can take something from it? Lessons learned, standards set, let us rejoice in his misfortunes and mistakes, for it teaches us to be thankful for what we have when we have it, and to dismiss it when it turns to absolute shit.

So today we celebrate not the death of a poor, poor soul, but the life he lead, even if it was sometimes pathetic. Let us remember, for this was his life....

DEAD!
And if your heart stops beating
I'll be here wondering
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life
And if you get to heaven
I'll be here waiting, babe
Did you get what you deserve?
The end, and if your life won't wait
Then your heart can't take this

Have you heard the news that you're dead?
No one ever had much nice to say
I think they never liked you anyway
Oh take
Me from the hospital bed
Wouldn't it be grand?
It ain't exactly what you planned
And wouldn't it be great If we were dead?
Oh dead...

Tongue-tied and oh so squeamish
You never fell in love
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life
And if you get to heaven
I'll be here waiting, babe
Did you get what you deserve?
The end
And if your life won't wait
Then your heart can't take this

Have you heard the news that you're dead?
No one ever had much nice to say
I think they never liked you anyway
Oh take
Me from the hospital bed
Wouldn't it be grand
To take a pistol by the hand?

And wouldn't it be great
If we were dead?

And in my honest observation
During this operation
Found a complication in your heart
So long...
'Cause now you've got
Maybe just two weeks to live
Is that the most the both of you can give?

LA LA LA LA LA!
LA LA LA LA LA!
LA LA LA LA LA LA!

Oh motherfucker
If life ain't just a joke (LA LA LA LA LA!)
Then why are we laughing? (LA LA LA LA LA LA!)
If life ain't just a joke (LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!)
Then why are we laughing?
If life ain't just a joke (LA LA LA LA LA!)
Then why are we laughing? (LA LA LA LA LA LA!)
If life ain't just a joke (LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!)
Then why am I dead?
DEAD!
and so it begins...

  1. HOLY FUCK! I'm sooooo glad you explained this one to me too! It's epic! It's like you're taking MCR and turning their songs into a rock opera or something. The imagery in my head is amazing now that you told the backstory. I think your readers need to know that THIS IS YOUR FUNERAL! lol!

You need to put explanations for these things. It's an amazing starting point. I think I am going to loooooove this series, no joke! So when do we get Chapter 1? ;)
